{"id":14,"date":"2015-09-04T19:30:46","date_gmt":"2015-09-04T19:30:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sites.soe.umich.edu\/atl\/?page_id=14"},"modified":"2018-10-10T00:26:27","modified_gmt":"2018-10-10T00:26:27","slug":"research","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.marsal.umich.edu\/adolescent-transitions-lab\/research\/","title":{"rendered":"Research"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Projects<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>School Transitions and Early Adolescent Development (STEAD) Project<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This project is a four year study that examines students\u2019 social and academic adjustment during early adolescence. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Key aims include understanding how students\u2019 relationships with teachers and students changes and affects their academic adjustment. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Our sample includes<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> students in k-8 schools and students in k-6\/ middle schools so we can consider if the type of school structure affects patterns of development.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Classroom and Peer Ecologies Project (CAPE)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This project is a three year study that focuses on how social dynamics within math and science classrooms affects students\u2019 motivation, engagement and achievement.
