Jeremy D. Horne (he/him/his) is a doctoral candidate at The University of Texas at Austin in the Department of Education Policy and Planning. His research draws on Black Studies to examine the linkages between education policy and Black students’ lived experiences within educational systems predicated on their inhumanity. In his most recent project, Jeremy utilizes qualitative and spatial methods to examine the psychic effects of gentrification on historically Black school-communities.
