Gabriel DellaVecchia, Ph.D.

Gabriel DellaVecchia earned his PhD in Educational Studies with a concentration in Literacy, Language, and Culture from the University of Michigan’s School of Education. He previously worked at the School of Education as a postdoctoral research fellow supporting the development of the new EdHub for Community and Professional Learning by cultivating the EdHub’s growing network via community engagement. Currently, Gabe is a curriculum designer for Prisma, a fully virtual school for students in grades 4-8. Gabe also coordinates the Don’t Leave Us Behind campaign, a group of concerned citizens focused on raising awareness about, and eventually amending, Michigan’s “Read by Grade 3” law, which requires mandatory retention for third graders who struggle.
