Teen Podcast on Preventing School Violence

In this podcast episode, we feature a CREATE Center collaboration with teens from the lakeside city of Benton Harbor, Michigan. Teens offer keen insights about the roots of school violence, how violence manifests in teens’ everyday school lives, and steps needed for school violence prevention. Their conversation offers educators, community advocates, and youth important wisdom about the influence of social media and online bullying, the effects of COVID isolation, school leadership, racial segregation, interpersonal relationships, teen aspirations, and the importance of community-based recreational spaces. The episode serves as a resource for instruction, professional development, teen development, and community learning. (Summer 2025)
