Luz Mayancela-Cazho

Luz Mayancela-Cazho is an Ecuadorian-indigenous first-generation college student at the University of Michigan studying Public Policy with a minor in Education for Empowerment. As a Chicago native and a product of Chicago Public Schools, she is passionate about education policy and critical race theory. At the University of Michigan, she is the Internal Director for La Casa, an associate member of Kappa Omega Alpha, and a research and programming assistant at the CREATE Center (Community-Based Research on Equity, Activism, and Transformative Education).
