Dr. Naomi Mae W. is currently an associate program officer at The Spencer Foundation working on special projects with the foundation and as a grant reviewer across all of Spencer’s major programs. She graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with her PhD in Educational Foundations and Policy in 2021 after completing a M.A. at New York University and a B.A. from UC Berkeley. Dr. Mae’s research is centered in youth organizing and advocacy for equitable educational systems in urban centers. She also specializes in community-based research, action research, community organizing, and building strategic partnerships between universities and communities.
