No trip to South Africa would be quite complete without taking in the natural beauty of the country and its wildlife. Enroute to the Nelson Mandela University @ George, the group shared a very special experience at the Gondwana Game Reserve. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During one of two game drives, members of our group had close (but safe!) encounters with elephants, zebras, hippos, giraffas, various antelope, baboons, and lions.<\/p>\n\n\n

After an intense week of programming, being outside was a welcome break. Our visit to Gondwana was also a chance to learn about the impact of climate change on the flora and fauna of South Africa. The vast landscape of the preserve became our classroom during our brief visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
